The development of the most anticipated and next Android operating system iteration, the Android 15, is still in progress. Meanwhile, Google has recently released its first beta program, which significantly suggests the arrival of the most major highlight, the satellite connectivity feature, which is still under work. Now, certain reports are floating around that this satellite connectivity feature will be implemented with the Pixel hardware, beginning with the latest and upcoming Google Pixel 9 series this year.

According to recent reports, the Google Pixel 9 series will be infused with an upgraded modem, which will support the most important Satellite Connectivity feature. For years, Google Pixel owners have faced many connectivity issues within their Pixel series, but the situation is going to improve with the arrival of the next Pixel 9 series, which will be infused with a much better modem.

The upcoming Google Pixel 9 series will be incorporated with the new Exynos Modem 5400, which is likely to be more powerful and faster as compared to the last-gen modem. This new modem will offer a much more stable performance and is going to be infused with the next and latest Google Tensor G4 chipset, debuting with the Pixel 9 series, out of the box.

The new Exynos Modem 5400 will offer upgraded performance with the support of 3GPP Release 17, which significantly supports 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTN). This makes the Google Pixel 9 series the first Pixel lineup to support Satellite-based connectivity, which may help enhance the connectivity issues that used to occur in the current Google Pixel lineups.

In addition to the Google Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro, the new modem will also be debuting within the Tensor G4-supported Pixel models, including the next-gen Pixel Fold. Also, the report further states that Google is reportedly developing its next under-developed 5G tablet, named Clementine, which will also arrive with the highly-anticipated yet innovative combination of Google Tensor G4 chipset and the new Exynos Modem 5400.
